U-Boat weekends are always popular, and this one is likely to fill fast. Over three days, Mutiny Diving will run six individual wreck dives on five fascinating First World War German U-boats. These are proper Channel wreck dives with real history, real character and the sort of planning that keeps divers, skippers and tide tables in tense conversation. This is not a generic splash-around weekend. Each dive has its own story, conditions and appeal. Together, they make a focused long weekend for divers who want to explore some of the most compelling submarine wrecks in the area. Across the weekend, we plan to dive:
SM UC-77
SM UB-109
SM UB-78
SM UB-33
SM UB-55
SM UB-109 is currently listed twice in the programme, giving six dives across the full weekend. These wrecks sit within the wider story of the First World War at sea. They were part of Germany’s U-boat campaign and now rest as historic wreck sites for suitably qualified divers to visit, study and respect. Expect proper UK Channel diving. That means tides, slack water, weather calls, skipper judgement and sensible dive planning. Bring the right kit, the right experience and the right attitude. The sea rarely cares about anyone’s calendar, which is rude, but consistent.
This long weekend is aimed at experienced wreck divers who are comfortable with UK conditions and the planned depths for each individual dive. Please check the details on each event page before booking, including timings, depth, suitability and any protected wreck notes. Spaces are limited. If you want to join the U-Boat Long Weekender, book early rather than waiting until the last minute and then acting surprised when the boat is full. History waits. Dive spaces do not.
